LahBahDuchen
A day of prayer honoring the Buddha Shakyamuni’s descent from the
heavenly realms to the earth. It is the 22nd day of the 9th month on the
Tibetan calendar, this year in November. People buy juniper branches, carrying them in a traditional striped folded carry-bags (can you see them?). The BaKor is busy as they circle the Jhokang Temple. The air is smokey as the juniper is burnt in local chimneys.
